Event Details

Workplace mediators (like everyone else) have had to rapidly adapt and apply their skills in new and different ways. This session will unveil new research undertaken by the University of Cardiff on how workplace and employment mediation has been working in practice during the pandemic and sharing views of those working in this area. This will highlight what has changed in the way mediation is being conducted, the challenges or opportunities that this presents and how this has impacted on the take up/demand for informal resolution interventions and success rates.

We will also be sharing the views and experiences of practicing mediators in relation to both workplace and employment mediation. This will include reflections on the nature of the conflicts that have arisen, experiences of how conflict resolution has worked during these difficult times, what we have learnt, and what opportunities this may present to further demonstrate the benefits and value of informal conflict resolution.

Speakers: Deborah Hann and David Nash – University of Cardiff

Alison Love – Resolution at Work

Caroline Sheridan – Sheridan Resolutions
